Chapel and House Portree

A design and build project which the practice developed from planning stage as part of a design and build package with contractors UBC Ltd. Our brief was to develop and detail the initial scheme design by a member of the congregation (Contour Graphics).

The Scottish vernacular style of the external building was combined with large cathedral space in the main chapel with Oak frame and a more intimate curved chapel off the main worship space.


Project duration: 9 months with completion in December 2005

Construction cost: £700,000
