House extension Ulva
An extension to provide additional bedroom and living accommodation on the outskirts of the village of Strathpeffer.
Ulva is situated in the Victorian Spa village of Strathpeffer in a designated conservation area. The brief required sensitive addition to the existing house without over extending the budget by constructing wholly in stone to match the original house. Gable and roof proportions were matched with the existing building, with external render interspersed with stone work to make reference to the walls.
The internal accommodation provides additional bedroom and living space for the guest house, with a south facing external timber terrace.
