TSL ltd Offices

A new office building for Mull based company TSL Contractors Ltd.

The office forms the headquarters of the company which works throughout Argyll and the islands and is required to house the administrative team who run the quarrying, development and contracting interests of the company.
The office itself is the fulcrum for a range of improvements planned for the quarry at Craignure involving the addition of store buildings and workshops and the continuing function of the quarry. The brief required a low maintenance energy efficient building with an image portraying the company’s innovative style coupled with the need for simplistic maintenance and particularly cleaning in the dusty atmosphere of the quarry.

A lightweight timber frame building clad with Siberian Larch wood and smooth render to the curved projection, topped with a standing seam zinc roof.

The project is due on site in spring 2009.
