The Old Post Office
The Old Post Office in Conon Bridge was a derelict, L shaped, stone built Victorian era building when purchased by local contractors Timac Ltd.
Timac specialise in the regeneration / conservation of old disused buildings in the Ross-shire area and renovation to form family homes.
Planning permission existed for conversion to two one bedroom homes at the outset of the project and the brief was to maximise the available room to allow for a further apartment in each unit, which was achieved.
Working within the existing building footprint a highly insulated timber frame envelope was constructed to modernize and allow compliance with the new thermal performance of dwellings required by the Building Regulations.
Before and after pictures indicate the scale and nature of the work required to conserve the building.
